Vegas Chinatown

Introduction

The Ladies Corner at the Casino

There is no casino yet that is solely dedicated to women. Well, none that we know of. One thing we are sure of is that casino and gambling are no longer just about men. There are some changes in the casino that embraced the presence of women in the industry.

A couple of decades ago, women are not welcome to enter a gambling establishment. During that time, casino operators believed that women patrons are bad news for their business. But that is no longer true today. In fact, casinos every where have been trying hard to keep their women guests satisfied. They did every thing in their power to make them feel at home.

One strong proof to that is the expansion of the Slots corner. Slots are definitely the games of choice for women since before. When Slot machines were developed, their main role was to keep the female companions of the male guests entertained. Today, Slots remain to be the game of choice for women. They certainly enjoy the spin of the reels. The fact that all they are required to do is bet and spin is also more attractive for them than sitting down the Poker table.

Another significant change that has been made at the casinos is the employees. Usually, the majority of the casino staff is composed by male. Today, you will see a lot of women donning the suits and manning the game. Most casinos also hired women dealers to keep the women players comfortable in placing bets and going through their games.

In terms of amenities, the changes are obvious. A lot of shopping stalls have been built in proximity with the gambling halls. This provides the major attraction for women to embrace the bright lights. Win or lose, they will have an avenue to do the thing they truly love -- shopping! Spas and other establishments that cater to the women audience have also been put up.

The tone of the entertainment has also shifted. Most entertainment venues in gambling cities like Las Vegas are all about show girls and men's sports. That is not the case anymore. A lot of the wholesome, family-oriented type of shows and activities were scheduled to replace some of the male-oriented ones.

With the growth of women players by the numbers each day, it is but fair that the casinos do their best to keep them excited and entertained. Creating a women-friendly environment, after all, is beneficial to both the operators and the patrons.
